Paracord on the Arclite

I recently purchased an Arclite, which happens to be my favourite neck knife, and I tried wrapping the handle in olive green paracord, however, it won't fit into it's sheath unless I begin wrapping the handle from the second "arc" cutout in the handle, which does not leave much to wrap. When I insert the knife into it's sheath, the first cutout is completely covered by the sheath.

Has any one had this problem?
The reason I ask is that I've seen pics of the Arclite with a fully wrapped handle. This is a pic I found of a fully wrapped Arclite, but if I wrap mine like this, it will never fit into the handle.

search on "cord" in the General forum. I just read a thread there where the gyt cord wrapped the back of the handle of his matching his&her's EDC's. I think the trick is to remove the core of the cord, and just use the sheathing. Or, try smaller guage climbing/accessory cord. I used 2mm on my Neck Peck, it's really thin.

You only have to leave a little bit of that first hole unwrapped for the sheath to latch onto it. If you make your wrap just a little bit shorter the knife will fit in the sheath.

I started the wrap on mine by threading the cord through the first cutout. Then I cut a small amount off of the mouth of the sheath. Still has good retention. I actually did this to three knives and gave two to my training partners as belated Christmas presents, and only had to trim the sheath on one of them.

The smaller handle still feels good to me as the edge of the wrap acts as a shallow finger indent.
