paracord question...

I bought 100ft of paracord from ebay and when I got it I looked at it and in the middle there was a little hole where all the strands were coming out from... Is this normal... like I said... it was right in the middle...

Sorry... I just read my post and it sounded like a dumb question :D :D :D

This is what i meant... almost exactly at the 50ft mark the 7 strands were coming out... As if two 50ft 7strand paracod were only joined by the sleeve... get it???
 
that's what i thought too but just wanted someone else to tell me it was normal... i guess it's not...

No, that's not normal. I agree with Merost that it sounds like you received two shorter lengths. While it's not cool it's not really a big deal.....how likely are you to need even a 50ft section?
 
Yeah, that's not normal. Sounds like some jerk fused 2 hanks together in order to sell it off as one. In the future I'd buy it from a reputable company (ie. goinggear.com). The owner is a BF member also. Not all paracord is the same, there's a lot of cheap crap that isn't of any quality being sold out there. Return it if you can and file a complaint with EvilBay against the slimeball.
 
it's not really a big deal... besides i am going to cut it anyway...

I bought some stuff from goinggear.com and i was going to add the paracord but it added another ~12 bucks (the cost of the paracord plus the added shipping costs)...

My wife had some ebay bucks so i used them... i learned my lesson :D...
 
Another excellent source for paracord is Supply Captain. I've ordered lots from them and they have a huge selection, low prices, and mega-fast shipping. I've always received my orders three days after placing my order.:thumbup:

Next time i'll order it from goinggear... they have the 8 strand paracord... what i don't get is... if with 7 strands, the rating on it is 550lbs, why the 8 strand still at 550lbs?
 
Most of the time my Supply Captain orders are here in two days.
 
Yeah, Supply Captain is great and is my usual source of paracord. I'm adding my voice here more for any UK/European folks - SC's service to us over this side of the pond is first class. Usually cheaper and faster than local sources even after international shipping!

So is GoingGear's.

I'll happily order from either knowing that I'll get unbeatable service; it just depends on exactly what I'm buying as to which I choose.
