Paracord Rifle Sling

Being a lover of all things paracord, I will look for any excuse to make something. Can't believe a sling never crossed my mind. I got the inspiration from a Precision Rifle forum, where a guy was selling them. So I tried it out with some scrap paracord, and I liked it, but I felt that the single cobra stitch was to thin, so I went over the first cobra stitch again. Plus whats wrong with doubling the amount of paracord you carry:D It was a pain in the ass to do this, but it was fun. It has about 80 feet of paracord in it and measures to just about 38 inches. Ill quit talking, heres the pictures.

Nice job Darby! PM me the directions please, or website. What nice syn stock rifle is that? If you make another send me that one for my .22 cal and I'll send you another 100ft hank of Paracord!

Thanks! I won't be making any more in the near future lol. I nearly cried with joy when I was done with this one. The rifle is a Wal-Mart special Savage Mark II

Heres the directions I used

Basically do that, but with sling swivels instead, measured a BIT(like an inch) longer than you want it. When you get done with the one stitch, making the sling complete(but thin) pull your strands threw the swivel and start again.

Klippe has some instructions on the cobra stitch, too.

You can find them here. Good knot for paracord knife handles I'm told.

Hey Darby if you send me the paracord I will make you one. I live in Carthage. Or 1tracker or anyone else. I'm not as good as stormdrane but I can do stuff like that.

That is some nice work.
How about a paracord belt? Like those woven nylon belts popular back in the 80's. I need to find somebodies grandma whoe does macrame tomake me some paracord stuff.

Nice work, I started one a while back for my 10/22 and I am now re-inspired to finish it!

I guess great minds think alike my fellow Deadwood fan!

I appreciate the offer, but I kinda liked making it myself, sure it hurt, but I gained a sense of accomplishment

Holy Crap! my fingers ache just looking at that thing. Good work.
The worst part was doing it with my cats in the room.

Problem with a belt is fluctuating waist lines.

Thanks!

I borrowed it from my dad, its worse than crack. I am pissed it only lasted 3 seasons. Amazing show, and darkly gut busting.

I have a king cobra stiched strap on my of my walking sticks. It's a hell of a lot more comfortable than a leather strap.

Nice looking stitch!

Hey Darbyfett,

Stormdrane is sending over his tutorial to Klippe. The sling looks great, so I'm wondering if I may use these photos there as examples of what else can be done with the technique?

Thanks,
