Recently picked up a nice Nitro-V Backpacker made by @Daniel Fairly Knives and from his video it shows how to do a paracord wrap

this video is on his Titanium version but around the 8:08 min mark he demonstrates how to do the wrap on the handle

I did a similar wrap but brought the two ends through and melted them together and added my bobtail fob

And today I took a candle and rubbed in some of the wax to get the cord a bit more grip

then I borrowed the wife's hair dryer and went over the handle and that melted the wax down into the paracord a bit

All in all a good way to put a handle on one of these all metal knives. There are some folks that will leave it bare metal and that's fine, I just like the handle to be a bit thicker and grippier as well.

Very good Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley . Of course your cord wrapping is always first class!

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Daniel. The very first set of custom scales I did in collaboration with any maker was on a set of backpackers. I just emailed him out of nowhere and sent him a photo of the first knife I ever did and asked him if I could do some of his knives. He said "Sure! Let's do it!". These were the result.

He auctioned them on IG and split the proceeds with me. He was so generous with his time and knowledge, and really encouraged me.

The little backpacker is a great knife... But I prefer it with a bit more to hang on to ;)

Thanks guys, the edge 'looks' like theres a dip but it is just a reflection in the mirror polished edge bevels I put on there, she's all nice and even and razor sharp
