What all have you made with paracord? I need some ideas! Please post pics if you have any.

A carabiner and some paracord made a decent emergency dog leash when my brother's dog got loose and ran to my home.

Monkey fists, lots and lots of monkey fists.

Here's one on the end of my CRKT m60.(best pic I got, sorry)

Whatever you do, it does not replace a proper knife handle. Though I agreee that for that purpose it is much better than electrician's tape in any aspect. :D

I use para cord to make slings, lanyards and knife handle wraps mostly.

A few years ago I was driving through west Texas to meet some friends for a much anticipated bow hunting trip when a bad hail storm / tornado warning forced me to take refuge in a motel, while I waited out the weather I made a hotel room blow gun - I used an uncut carbon arrow shaft, some short sections of frayed para cord and a few points I broke off of some safety pins, I spread a T-shirt with a target size logo over the back of a chair and got pretty good at it before the storm broke ... some beer helped too

rifle sling, watch bands, bracelets, key keepers, lanyards and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting. Darn useful stuff.

That leash looks great, Snigel! I'd totally buy one! (I can do some basic knife handle wraps and such, but I'm not that good at it yet.)

Please do not use the knife discussion forums for these types of threads that have little if anything to do with knives.

I'm considering making some and sell them, PM me if you're interested! ;)

It works absolutely perfect, and when I'm out walking with it people stop and ask me where I got it!

Edit: Sorry Bastid, please delete my posts here if you think they're not appropriate

I'm sorry bastid I had no clue where to post this thread is there a more appropriate on bladeforums? Or do you mean not to post a thread like this at all on the forum? I just figured that many people around here use paracord to make things.

That's one reason that Spark gave us The Workshop (under Activities, Training and Skill Developement) to discuss things that are not knives, and share how to do those things. The survival koozies above are cool, and showing them here in Gadgets and Gear is appropriate, but asking how one goes about making one, and the reply to the question are better handled in The Workshop.

part of the reason this forum drives me nuts. if a question comes up answer it in the post and move on. i could understand a whole how-to being done in another forum. otherwise as for the OP, a mod should have just moved it, sent the dude a PM and got on with it. Otherwise we do just liek whats happening, get off topic talking about where it should/should not be posted. Plus this community is huge, way to many places to post!!!
back to the Koozies, they make a great basket type container besides being a fairly decent working Koozie, not to mention they have almost 50ft of cord. The ones I'm making now have a small fire steel weaved in, and some jute twine weaved it for the tinder factor. Just started playing with those.
Those 3 were a surprise gift for my buddies on a motorcycle trip to the Smokies last fall

chogue1980 those koozies are really nice Ive never seen one made from paracord. Where could I find a tutorial to do that?

Thanks for the links I no what I'll be doing tonight well attempting tonight.
