Has anyone else managed to get their hands on any of these? I can't be the only one so far can I? I have another Pro being shipped to me this morning, but they are really hard to find right now.

I'd sure like to see other's opinions about them.

Avid or Pro? You'll like either one. I just got a tracking number on my second Pro, should be here about Sat. or Mon. at the latest.

I got the Avid. I've got a Vantage Pro but am currently without any Buck 13C26. I'm interested to see how it holds up. I know it will get very very sharp.

I've got the Vantage Avid and with a little luck I'll have a Paradigm Avid tomorrow...maybe Saturday. I figured I've got enough S30V around. Time to give some 13C26 some playtime.

I have the Vantage Avid, and am so impressed with the 13C26 blade! So much so,that I ordered a Paradigm Avid this morning. It's gonna be about a 2 week wait,(out of stock).

My Paradigm Avid got here today. WOW!!!
More later after I've played with it. The edge on this knife is the sharpest I've ever seen EVER!!

C'mon G, I can't wait to hear your opinion on it! I'm constantly playing with one or the other of mine and they continue to work like a champ.

It puzzles me though that the Pro is still so hard to find. I did a bunch more searching today and still can't find any one that actually has them in stock. I'm sure I haven't covered all the bases, but none of the usual suspects have them for sure.

Dave this knife is a freaking homerun. I just love it so far. I thought I would like it but the lock mechanism has really wow'ed me. I was leary of it but now that I have it, I think it's to cool for school. I like the bolsters as an asthetic feature. Its heavier than the Vantage of course, but feels good to me. My blade is off-center but not hitting the liner (Buck needs to focus on blades being centered as it's main competitors have successfully made it a focus and a feature showing F&F/quality).

The assist is very fast and something I really like in the Tempest. My opinion is that the Paridigm is a kick ass knife with a bright future for the company. I'm endorsing it 1000% guys. Get one as soon as you can.

PS, if you think the Vantage is a great knife and like assisted knives...this one will be your favorite right away.

Forgot, the scale around the shield has the same issues with rough letting as Dave's Pro. I can do pictures of that on the blade center if anyone is interested. I'm personally unconcerned with the faults however.

I told you you'd like it! I'd never steer you wrong.

And you were RIGHT!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

It kind of feels like people are ignoring this knife but I know it's an availability issue. Once they are widely available, I think this forum will be flooded with people making comments.

I received mine (avid) today. It is my first AO. Opening speed seems to be a bit slower than my daughter's Sirus and son's Tempest. Maybe it's my imagination or the knife's size/contour that create an illusion. It's fast enough and I don't really want it to jump out of my hand, so no problems with speed. It is a very good looking knife and the mechanism is easy to use. Blade perfectly centered. I see no defects. No complaints. Sharp as hell. I'd be sitting here flicking it right now, but my wife puts limits on knife chat and knife play at the same time.

I read somewhere that Buck Knives is going through some really hard financial times.Sort of figured it was my patriotic duty to order the Avid.Sure do like the blue in the Pro handle!

I can see where that is probably true. I tried to sell a few on Ebay and most got no bids- I have a Vantage Pro on there now which at least has 1 Watcher.

I will make it as i have nothing but time and I'll sure be pulling for Buck but I dont think the economy picks up for another 6 months. Then it will be another 6 before people feel confident enough to make some elective purchases. Everybody hold on!!

Meanwhile, it is a very good time for Buyers. I've sure been doing my duties.

If i were Buck, i'd raise the # of knives Club Members could purchase. These are sold at higher than Dealer prices so it would fall to the bottom line better than anything else practically.

Most, if not all of the Vantage Pro's on Ebay right now are over priced and that may be the reason they aren't moving. There are online knife stores selling them for about $50 delivered. As a matter of fact I have two more coming in todays mail, total delivered was $50.35 each and I didn't have to worry about being outbid.

Where can I get this knife? I've been trying to get my hands on one and they seem to be on back order? Locally the Buck dealer said it may be a month or so. Is there a production problem?

Anyone have these in stock? What is the deal with them as I can't find anyone that has them?

I don't know what's up with them. Just about all you can do is do a web search and find a dealer that has them listed and call to see if they actually have them in stock. I've found several that show them on their site, but don't really have them to ship.

The first Pro and Avid I bought were listed by a small seller on Ebay. The second Pro was from an online dealer, but they only had one (the Pro) of either model and I got it.
