I have had many nice comments on the Impulse.
Thanks to all . The baby is coming out soon.
It is a samller version!!!!!!!

I just want to say how happy I am with the paragee. I feel this knife has it all. Fantastic lock (integral bar lock) very slim
And a great blade shape for every day chores.
This is a great knife. Thanks David for the collaboration on this one. I cant wait ..
The new impulse neck knife is in the works and almost final also...

The 3" Impulse is coming in August and the Paragee is on schedule for later this Fall. As Darrel says the Paragee has it all. It is thin, strong, light-weight and loaded with style. For an every day carry knife the Paragee is tough to beat.

The multi-carry, fixed blade Impulse is also looking sweet. Release date will be early 2001.

Quick question - Is the Paragee based on one of Darrel's custom models or is it a totally new design exclusively for Outdoor Edge?

The Paragee is based on Darrel's Apogee design. The outside profile of both knives are the same. The main difference is the Apogee handle scales are machined titanium and the Paragee will be stainless. Darrel designed the planetary hole pattern on the Paragee to minimize weight. As of yet Darrel has not made a handmade version of the Paragee although he has had several requests since we announced its release. I would'nt be supprised if Darrel started to make handmade titanium Paragees however that is his call.

Thanks for the kind words GB. I feel this is a great knife from Outdoor edge .
It is slim and very functional. Being a SS frame makes the lock one of the best on the market and stronger than a Titainum frame lock. This knife has it all.
