Why is this suprising, didn't we just have a massive battle within the last year to basically keep folding pocket knives legal. The real kicker it wasn't even going to be done through Congress as it is supposed to be under the Constitution but was going to be done through Bureaucratic Fiat by way of executive type order by The United States Customs Department. None of this is shocking nor should it be, the line in the sand has been drawn long ago and we here on this site just so happen to be standing on the wrong side of it.
The sooner that more people realize that most of those in the District of Columbia utterly despise the kinda individuals that views a knife a tool and not as very dangerous weapon, the better we will be. Think about this were actually having a court case this week here in the United States to determine is cheer leading is an actual sport. That is no kidding. Things have slowly gotten so out of hand over time I just don't see it lasting much longer, I don't see how it can. You have two groups of people that are diametrically opposed in view points that are in the same country and neither group wishes to be controlled by the other.
Sorry mods, didn't mean to get political but this is a political issue plain an simple, no way around it.
