it is a master peice!!!!!!:D

The Fusion Steel Heart, FSH, and the Heavy Heart Fusion Steel Heart, HHFSH both have 8" blades. The difference between the two is that the FSH has a blade with a full-height grind and thickness of 0.25" while the HHFSH is saber ground with a blade thickness of 0.27". I think these thicknesses are supposed to be with the coating on because I mic'd my stripped HH at around 0.259". Either way, they're both great knives but the HH is my favorite Steel Heart. Don't forget about the Heavy Ordnance Grade Fusion Steel Heart, HOGFSH, with a full-height grind and 0.312" blade thickness, which is a beast of a knife. Sheesh, I'm surprised I didn't get mixed up in the Busse alphabet soup :D.

ETA: I think you have what is called a Flying Nuclear Mother of All Steel Hearts, FNMOASH, in the picture. Also appears to be one beast of a blade.

the original FSH had a convex grind

Thanks for the correction SD33, but I was under the impression that FSH's were full flat ground. Maybe I'm confusing myself with full-height grind and full flat ground.

This has been discussed before...apparently some or all of the FSH have a slight convex in the main profile.

forget the fact that you are in China, but getting your hands on one of them is not easy, good luck

Actually, you are both right. :D

You can find the FSH with both a (slight) full convex,
and a full height flat grind.

And that FNMOASH is something like 1 of 14 that were made.
Based off the MOASH which is a whopping .345" thick.

.

thank you all!!

:D:D:D

YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH A STEEL HEART!!!! MY PACK KNIVES!!!!!This is a FSH with handsmoothed g10 in the black and tan and a HOGFSH in the black crinkle with the green and black mag g10! I had a sheath done for the HOGFSH from Rainwalker and both knives fit great in it.....the SARS is gonig to get a good work out this summer as well. The HOGFSH is much heavier then the standard FSH but has more chopping force on the full blow swing...If I only had one Busse it would be the standard FSH!! Good choice. Look in the up coming Ganza for some "deals" on factory FSHs!!!

Army, those are some awesome knives you got there! You definitely can't go wrong with a Steel Heart, my favorite Busse knife by far.

There is only THE ONE.

ya but that's a deceiving number. since the entire blade is double edged the majority of the weight is removed from the front end, so it comes out neutral to handle heavy. plus the taper that starts at the belly which removes even more weight from the front.

I found it very weird in the hand, a giant massively thick handle with almost no blade heaviness. it didn't really fit into my idea of a fighter (I'd prefer blade heavy for that, and a thinner top edge) or utility chopper...

if nothing else it was pretty.

Actually... that's one of the reasons I like this one so much.
The aggressive clip point and recurve blade removed enough steel to bring the balance more towards neutral.

Although I haven't weighed it, it feels pretty comparable to the CG FBM in weight and balance...
while still being .310" thick! The more neutral balance gives me better ease and control for the
finer tasks, but still an excellent chopper.

I know, I know... you like'em blade HEAVY! :D :p
