What's the difference between the first and second model of the paramilitary ?? I had an original para until I lost it. I just picked up a para 2 and i don't see any real changes? Does any one have a side by side pic, or can you link me to a thread that does?
thanks !

They lengthened the handle and nested steel liners throughout. They lengthened the blade. They re-designed the comp-lock and changed the detent to a ball system rather than a wedge cut out of the blade on the first gen. They made the lanyard hole larger. The pivot bushing system is different. The pivot and handle screws are larger. The liners rise on both sides and are jimped near the thumb ramp. They made the pocket clip four-way positionable. They changed the geometry of the blade to be flush with the contour of the handle so that the corner of the tang doesn't stick up out of the handle when in the closed position.

Am I missing anything? ...Oh yeah, the pivot screws are now flush on the second gen and they added Eric's signature.

They made a cool knife into a legendary knife, IMO

I think you nailed it. For what it's worth, I like the Para 2 much more than the original overall. But, I think the Para 1 had a more ergonomic handle for my hands. That isn't taking anything away from the Para 2's ergos (they're stellar).
