Paramilitary 2 article on All Outdoor

The PM2 is a good knife but I didn't really like it for the outdoors. Choking up in order to do fuzzies and using reverse grip to hog off a lot of wood for tent stakes, the guard kept getting in the way. The military has a better handle for outdoor work. At least for how I use it.

Yes, well-deserved kudos to Spyderco. The PM2 is an awesome blade in so many ways. The design is wonderful. I love the compression lock and would like to see more of it. I own two PM2s and if I had more cash to spread around, I'd pick up more of the sprint run models. I don't carry one all of the time, but it is one of my go-to carry knives. (I have too many favorite knives to settle down one just one.)

Good article.

By the way, the author of the article is also one of the hosts of "Gear Geeks Live" Podcast. A great audio discussion forum run by educated and accomplished folks doing their best to bring us some cool information about knives, flashlights and anything else that's cool. Last year those guys spent way over an hour going through the 2014 Spyderco Catalog and discussing each knife, with a focus on the new stuff. These guys love Spyderco just as much as we do. They have fun too, joking and carrying on. Give em a listen sometime.
