Hi all, I need clip screws for my Paramilitary 2. I see some on Etsy, Ebay and Amazon. Are these safe to order from? The set on Amazon has one review, and it's bad.

Should I contact Spyderco?

Thanks all. I did do a search before making the thread but didn't see my question asked.

If you contact Spyderco you can be sure you will get the right screws for your knife. I've gotten screws from them for free (someone noticed my Para2 was missing a frame screw when I posted a picture. I hadn't noticed.)

I case Spyderco doesn't reply to your emails .... these are 2-56 button-head screws, thread-length is 3/16" (=0.188"). Much cheaper to buy generic screws, than a couple from ebay/etsy/etc., and you can pick screws that you like.

My favorites are from https://ticonnector.com/product/2-56-button-head-screws/, but they come in packs of 100, maybe too many for you.

Here, you can buy fewer, pick from SS, black, Titanium, T6 or T8, etc.: https://usaknifemaker.com/shop-categories/folding-knife-parts/screws.html.

This is great info, thanks! BTW do you think 1/4” thread length is too long? I’m trying to replace the pm2/yojimbo2 clip with lynch clip which is thicker and i find that the stock screw has shallow engagement, would the 1/4” fit?

Never used a lynch clip, but MXG clips, which are thicker too (BTW, they come with screws). It will be perfectly ok if you carry the knife tip-up, the length is only critical when you use it tip-down, as you don't want the screws to interfere with the washers. Both tip-up and tip-down, you can see at least one of the screws if they stick out, so try and check. If the screws are too long, they are easy to shorten a little on a sharpening stone, for instance.

Hey guys, is mxggear a good place to buy an after market clip? They have a deep carry clip, with screws, for my PM2 for a good price. Seems too good, though.

Edit: Just seen ferider ferider mentioned them. I assume they're solid, then?

Thanks sir. Yeah i carry tip up, the blade probably wouldn’t hit the screw if it protrudes a bit then. Would rather have it too long than too short.

(sorry, don't use clips on PM2, no photo of that; but at least you get a feeling of the colors)

I reached out to Spyderco a few months back on some PM2 clip screws and sent my info to them when they requested it. Haven’t heard anything since nor received any screws in the mail. I might try to outsource my own. Thanks for the info above

Did you call them, or email them?
