I am thinking about getting the all black, the black scales with the satin blade, the camo with the dlc coated blade, or the earth brown with the s35vn. Which is going to be easier to sell if I like it and how do the dlc coatings hold up? Which would you guys get?

Be prepared to keep more then one.. Lol..

Dlc holds up pretty good.. I just gifted my blk/blk user. Just gifted a camo/satin, as well..
I have the new blk/blk one to prove it! Lol..

I have Foliage scales, coming to replace the orange ones..

They are all easy to resell..

I like the dlc blade's..

I just ordered the digicam with the satin blade. I'm not big on black coated blades blades because it seems no matter how strong the coating is they always end up looking terrible. I'm not a heavy knife user and am more of a collector and big into edc so my blades see only minor use, opening packages (usually more knives), and the occasional string hanging from a shirt or something, so I'm ocd about my blades looking perfect or at least very little wear. So the coated blades are not my first choice. Although they do look good and the light use my knives get they would probably stay nice for quite a while but I just can't bring myself to spend $130 on a knife that may end up looking worn after the first couple uses.

They will all be easy to sell, however the Sprint and Exclusive versions will sell at higher relative prices once they are unavailable from online vendors. Get the one you like best, whether it's because of a special steel or because you like the color/blade finish. The coating holds up well, but eventually will show some wear. The few examples I've handled were slightly less smooth to operate, but no big deal either way.

Just get one of each and decide after you see them, that's what most of us did and pretty much end up keeping all of them lol! I like to color coordinate with my outfits

The brown with S35VN and the original orange with satin CTS XHP are my two all time favorites. (I have all of them.)

Don't limit yourself. It's an awesome awesome knife. You'll own more than one. Just start buying them ;)

I have a brown with S35VN and now I'm REALLY wanting the orange with the DLC coated XHP!! that's got to be my favorite by far (would have gotten it instead but had a horrible buying experience through the website and never received it [emoji17]).

Interested to know how many 'official' versions out there, including the sprint runs... i kinda like the earth brown s35vn and the orange XHP.

Agreed. I went through 10 with different blade steels and now have my trusty black/black s30v

Hey op, the standard s30v versions are great performers and the best values. I kind of like the digicam myself. I prefer a satin blade but Spyderco's dlc does hold up extremely well. Enjoy.

I cant wait until they bring out a s110v dlc one. Im sure they will since its a standard production and its selling like crazy.

Unless you are trying to cut bricks rocks the knife is not going to look worn after a couple uses. Personal preference is fine but let's not exaggerate things.

I use my knives on food when I'm camping (or whenever, actually), and I worry about eating some of that coating. Probably NBD, but...

As for color, I just ordered the Earth Brown and I can't wait for it to arrive! One thing I read that gave me pause, though, was someone writing that the brown can easily get lost in the woods. Sounds unlikely, right? Not at all -- a buddy gave me a Sebenza when I got married, and now it's somewhere out by my father's woodlot. I rented a ****ing metal detector and I STILL couldn't find it! Seriously, I'm still kicking myself over that one -- and haven't told my friend yet, either
