So who else has one of these on pre-order? I just placed mine yesterday and am already getting (prematurely) excited! I hope I did it soon enough to get one.

Any thoughts on the steel? Supposedly it's carpenters S90v equivalent, but I haven't heard much more than that.

Anyone have any ideas on how many are going to be made?
 
Nobody really knows yet, but it should compare nicely with S90V.
 
I have one on preorder (first time I have pre-ordered.) No guarantee I'll get one.

I'm avoiding getting excited about it to prevent disappointment and hypertension.

We have drugs today that can help with premature excitation. ;)

As for the steel, if it is used by Spyderco, it is a good steel.
 
I have had one of these, and one of the S90V on preorder since early November (still holding out hope for the S90V, Knifecenter said they are expecting one more shipment) and cant wait to get either one. I bought my first Spyderco, a Manix 2 CTS sprint about a month ago and absolutely love it.
 
I guess I am more excited because it will be my first pm2. The original was my first Spyderco and I absolutely loved it until I gave it to my pops (who carries it everyday now).

I think this one will be a winner if the steel compares to s90v, as it is coming in at almost $40 less!
 
I have two on preorder - loooking forward to giving this steel a try on a great EDC.
 
When I preordered the S90V P2 I passed on the CTS20CP. Can't afford them all. More for you guys.
 
If you placed a pre-order on January 4th I guess I wouldn't get to excited about it. I do hope you get one though. -P

They closed their preorder months ago.

But, good luck nevertheless. Keep looking, this will not be in as high demand as the s90v/cf version. As well, production of the standard s30v/black g10 should be caught up by the time this is released, thus averting some of the demand to simply own a Para2 of some sort.

They have an additional 36 pre orders available. Not that it means they will get these additional 36 para 2s cts-20cp, but still I don't think it would hurt if you send them an email and get on the list. You got nothing to lose.
 
Thanks a lot guys, after all the nay-saying, I jumped on an S90V CF model since knifeworks suddenly showed them back in stock!
 
Same here, I called to confirm they had some in stock. I suspect they will be flying off the shelves when the news hits.
 
I had given up on the idea of getting one in the UK. Just have to hope it gets through our customs (no legal reason why not but they can be strange.)
 
Yep, they appear out of stock now. I hope everyone enjoyed the S90V/CF feeding frenzy while it lasted. I clock it at 90 minutes.
