So I know that spyderco discontinued the Paramilitary 2, so do you think as time goes on, the Paramilitary will become increasingly hard to find and maybe the price will rise in them? Do you think they will ever bring it back into production?

When they do discontinue the Para II it'll be because the Para III is going to hit the market.

Where did you get this info? They're just having a hard time keeping up cause people are buying extras up (not cool IMO) and they're a relatively small company compared to the demand for that knife and all the others they make.

Not discontinued - In fact, Spyderco is going to have a really interesting P2 Sprint/Exclusive out early next year (rumor has it anyway) - with fluted carbon fiber scales. Eric let us handle a prototype at the Blade show this year and it was absolutely, totally drop-dead gorgeous. No word on steel yet - but I've heard rumblings about M4...

I heard the same. Will be a very nice offering if they offer enough.

If there was just a Spyderco subforum here, frequented by Sal Glesser, I bet this question could be easily answered. Too bad there isn't one.

If only... Geeze that would be awesome! To actually get answers straight from the source, but that would never happen.

lol no way they would discontinue the PM2 at least not anytime soon! That would be like Apple discontinuing the Iphone or Nike discontinuing the Jordan line. :)

Dude they wouldn't discontinue their most popular knife.

I would not expect them to discontinue the para2 but they have discontinued a lot of popular knives.

I had heard rumors of a Ti version of the Para2, with a framelock version of the compression lock (one of their older models used this). This one would be very popular but the rumors were that it would be expensive.
