Paramilitary 2 dissembly guides?

My paramilitary 2 is slightly gritty when opening. Its nothing major, just a very very small annoyance. I'm sort of a perfectionist. I want to disassemble my PM2, but I don't want to damage it. Can anyone direct me to a disassemble guide of some sort regarding the PM2? *edit* Is rem oil safe for the pivot of the knife?

Thanks,

Here is a guy putting it back together... didn't see anything on the break down of it.

I'd run the pivot under hot water, put a drop of dish soap in the pivot, work it in and rinse. Dry it with compressed air then lube it afterwards. Taking apart will void the warranty, and if their is internal damage causing gritty action, they'll charge to fix it. If cleaning it doesn't work send it in.

well im not sure if gritty is the way to say it, it still moves smoothly, you just can feel slight bumps of resistance when opening it. Will loosening the pivot slightly and then lubing it fix the problem?

My goal is to have it buttery smooth. Would rem oil be safe to use on the knife? Also would it help? I think my problem has to do with the bearings or something

The Para2 doesn't have any bearings.

It could be you feel the lock bar's detent traveling along the blade, the grind lines translating into bumps as it opens and closes. The solution is to wait and let it break in (it'll self-polish with more and more openings) or take it apart and sand it smooth. Lube along that track will help some.

The Para 2 is very simple to take apart. Just make sure not to round off any of the heads of the torx screws. If one is hard to get out, take the one off of the other side and grab the pillar with pliers (covering the part with a rubber band or a cloth or something.) Turn the pillar instead of the screw once you get the two handle slabs separated.

Otherwise, disassembly and reassembly of the Para 2 is very straightforward.

First rule, make sure you have the proper size torx. Try taking off only one scale (the non lock bar side) That should let you pull the blade out and clean what ever you may need to. You are not actually going to remove the scale, the lanyard tube is stuck in there pretty well and may actually prevent you from lifting the scale off. Once you remove the pivot and the scale screws just rotate the scale till it's out of the way.
