My PM2 arrived in the mail the other day. I picked one up for three reasons:
1. It has great reviews and a near cult following.
2. I'm intrigued by the Compression Lock.
3. I knew that if I didn't like it, I could easily get 90% or more of my money back.

I'll keep it short, so here goes:

The fit and finish of the knife is of quality. My blade came slightly off center, but once opened it has no blade play whatsoever. It's very difficult to open compared my two other common EDC knives (ZT0561 & Griptilian 551). I was able to "flick" it open, but it requires a good deal of effort. Closing the knife one handed takes some getting used to. If I try to flip it closed, like I do with my Griptilian, the blade hits the stop pin and bounces open again slightly. Closing the knife two handed is my best bet. All in all I really like the knife and have only used it to cut some insulation (to wrap my water pipes). It sliced straight through them with ease.

I had the issue with the "stop pin bounce" initially. It just takes some getting used to to catch the blade right when you close it.
I've bought and sold many knives in the past few years but this one has stayed with me.

Yup I'll agree, it takes practice to get it to stop right where you need it. Also make sure you release pressure off the compression lock when flinging it to close so that the blade can grab the small notch that holds it in the handle. Better chance that it won't bounce back out that way. Definitely takes practice! I've had my knife for a few days and I'm at the point where I can close it one handed like that about 75% of the time.

When closed my blade is also very very slightly off center. Like maybe 5% more towards one side. Just noticeable but it doesn't effect the operation at all. It locks up super tight, there is no play at all. Really seems like a strong design. Even with solid blades that have "no play" you can maybe feel the ever so slightest movement that's barely noticeable. With the PM2 it is literally non existent. Love it!

I'll agree. It's a great knife, prefect design! I love being able to close it one handed. Most of the time while cutting, my other hand is not free to assist in closing.

I haven't carried my pm2 much lately, but everytime I pick it up it's like I fall in love with it all over again. That is until I hold and use my Military.

I think that like any new knife, it takes time to get the feel of it. The longer you have it, the more you'll like it, IMO.

It's growing on me! I like the DLC coating. I didn't think I would, but it's very nice!
