How is the grip feel of the Paramiltary 2 in a "hammer grip" or "fist grip?" Does the cutout in the handle make it uncomfortable to grip the knife in that manner? Any pinch-points, or hot-spots, etc.?

All my Spyderco's are lockbacks and they are very smooth on the spine of the knife, so there is no hand discomfort.

I've not had the opportunity to handle one in person, but just looking at the Paramiltary 2 the handle looks uncomfortable around the lock cutout.

Anyone that owns one of these offer any feedback?

The PM 2 has a very comfortable handle. I have used one extensively for a year and there are no hot spots that I have come across. Believe me, just buy one.

I used my PM2 to cut a lot of cardboard when I was cleaning my garage and it did a great job but my hands were sore from the jimping, not the handle. This would be more of an issue with my sissy-IT hands than anything as they aren't used to it ;)

When I'm doing stuff around the house I tend to carry the PM2 as it works great for food prep and cutting open bags and cardboard.

Some of the fat in the palm of my hand actually goes into the cutout for the lock, which feels very comfortable.
