Mine came installed the opposite of every spyderco I've owned which is tip down. U think it was a return?

I think mine came the same way. I have the all black DLC one.

This would have been about 6 months ago.

I got mine from knife center and I'm pretty sure was NIB and not a return.

Where did you find a dealer stocking them? Are you sure its legit?

I would say yes it was a return and/or someone at the store wanted to try it tip down, my recommendation (especially after knowing how excited you were to get one by the 5+ threads you posted about them in the last few weeks lol) is to make absolutely sure its real, tho I would think that someone selling knock-offs would get the clip in the right side dontchya think.

Every so often there will be a post about how someone's spyderco came with the clip backwards and/or on the wrong side, sometimes it does happen so it alone doesn't signal any sort of problem, but I would look into it more unless it came from one of our big sponsored vendors here.

I think my Grey CTS 20CP sprint came tip down as well... (from a very reputable dealer)

Googling it all pm2 look like mine the way the clip is opposite the land yard hole yet my manix endura delica benchmade are all opposite easy fix but it's odd that it's there only knife they did that to from that factory. How tight mot tighten screws on clip in case I do? I take it they strip easily

I've never stripped a Spyderco clip screw (unscrewed over 100). The key is using good torx drivers and being firm, but not pushing it.

My clip is on the side with the two initials makeing the thumb hole middle of my pocket instead of corner of my pocket. So when I pull I it out I have to kind of do a front flip motion in my hand to get it in the standard grip position

I've owned a lot of PM2's in many blade-steels. To my knowledge, all of them come "tip down."

Some Spyderco models come tip-up (such as the Gayle Bradley) and some come tip-down such as the PM2.

This orientation should be the most direct for deploying the knife assuming you are right-handed. Put your thumb on the inside of the knife against the pivot, put your first finger on the clip screws, pinch the knife between thumb and finger and pull it out. As you push your hand forward you are rotating it and the knife rotates into your palm. At this time your fingers close around the knife handle and your thumb is right on the thumb hole ready to open it. Much slicker and faster than if you carried the knife tip-up.

All four of mine came tip down. Like mentioned above, look really close at all of the clip attachment points. You will be able to see an actual imprint if the clip has been changed.
