This may be a beat to death topic, but does anyone know why/how there is a PM2 shortage?

Is Syderco making a large quantity of them to be released all at once? Just trying to get a feeling as to what is going on with this knife.

Yep. Beat. To. Death.

Simple case of supply not meeting demand. From what we've heard, Golden is going to great lengths to get the supply levels up. There have also been numerous sightings of PM2s at various dealers over the past several weeks. You just have to be quick to get 'em before they sell out again.

I would get on several reputable knife dealers e mail list for paramilitary 2 knives, when you get the e mail be sure to order quickly. Or hang around on BF that's where a gentleman on here informed everyone they where available on a certain site.
You'll find one, check the for sale site here on BF

I was lucky enough to snag one from Blade HQ when someone posted they had them. I received it and it kicked my Rukus out of my pocket.

It's the only knife that has been able to do that in three years of EDC. So when I went looking for another one I found a lot of not in stock stores. I'm on KW's, GP and B-HQ mailing lists. Thanks, I will find a few more eventually. :)

There is already a few discussions on this topic (as you can tell). Read theough the first 3 pages of threads here to find them. Tis kind of sums everything up.

Thanks, I didn't know they were such a small company.
I wish them the best. I will gladly wait for them to catch back up on the Paramilitary 2's again.

Indeed, lots of people think it's a larger operation than what it is. It's definitely worth the wait. The Para2 is a really well designed, highly functional folder. It also has one of the strongest locks available. I really love the knife overall.

I would agree the PM2 is worth the wait its a great knife and them not mass producing allows for better quality control and attention to detail

Anybody who really wants a PM2 can just watch the exchange here for a day or so. They sell here almost EVERY day.
