Looking for a heavy duty edc. I'm not talking crowbar heavy just a very solid knife that will hold an edge.

No experience with the Tomcat 3.0

Good luck getting a regular Para2, they are quite hard to find right now.

I love my BM Grip in 154. Other options for BM around same price is the 15020 Bone Collector, you need to check it out. It's in D2.

My first choice would be the Para 2, though it will take some patience to find, followed by the Griptilian, the handle feels hollow and light, but it is much stronger than it feels.

I say Paramilitary 2.
But if you want a better option than the Griptilian in D2 I also say get the Bone Collector. Awesome knife.

Having multiples of the Para2 and Grip, my first choice would be the Para2. Second choice would be the Grip.

I would not recommend getting the SOG. Honestly, in my opinion it's too expensive for what you're getting, and I've seen my fair share of SOG folders with issues.

I'll go with the para first the grip is nice and the lockup is to me a bit better than the para but I like thin knives so the para is my fist choice . If you don't mind a knife getting a patina go with the Gaily Bradley sweet knife .

Para 2 followed by the Bone Collector would be my choice out of those as well. Aside from those you might want to take a look at the Spyderco Gayle Bradley in CPM-M4. Amazing blade performance and a much better overall value considering what Para 2's are selling for right now.

I like the Para 2 the best. I carried one for 7 or 8 months straight. Never had a problem except for it came with a sticky lock so I sent it in. They are awesome knives! I want to get a couple more for sure

Para 2 hands down. I think The s30v holds a edge better than D2 and VG 10.If you have trouble finding a Para 2 think about a Military (if you don't have one) The Military will feel smaller than the specs may read.
