Hey all...I put an order in for a Paramilitary 2 about two months ago through KnifeCenter. Need less to say, it's still on backorder. Can anyone tell me if Spyderco plans on filling the many backorders for this knife ?

I'll hold out as long as it takes, no matter, because I really like this blade. Any info on this is greatly apperciated.

There are a million threads on this topic but as far as I know there is no set date when they will be caught up but it wont be anytime soon. Did you try sending an email or calling Knifecenter to see if they have any info on an eta date? I would start there. You wont be disappointed though when you get it! I love mine and carried it today actually. :) You can find them here on the exchange forum quite often and of course on the bay. I got mine here on the forum exchange for around $80 but that was over a year ago and they have since become extremely popular and harder to find.

I can't seem to find one in stock either. Each time I receive an email notice from a retailer that they have a few in stock, their inventory sells out before I can get my order placed.

I decided to make lemonade......I bought a Calypso Sprint instead. Lovely knife....big, but very elegant and nicely finished.

Spyderco seems to be behind on a few knives, the sprint Para 2 has been over a year now? Just wait it out, people are starting to get greedy on the demand for the Para 2. The other day I saw somebody try to sell a black/satin plain edge USED model for $165. These prices are finally starting to elevate to the extreme. The knife is worth it as in my opinion it is the greatest folding knife in the industry for the money. However do not make this supply and demand game worse. If everyone starts paying the rediculous prices, Spyderco could eventually raise their MSRP and make the knife much more expensive, bringing down the value of the knife.

They've been poping up a lot in the exchange recently for not much more then normal retail. I picked up a user PM2 for $85 a few weeks ago, and I've seen new condition black/digicam models going for $120-$130.

KW, Cutlery Shoppe, BladeHQ and Howes have all been receiving stock lately in limited supply. Only satin s30v's but a few brown sprints have shown up too. Keep your eye on them and you'll snag one. I got one from KW 2 weeks ago, but it had to go back to Spyderco because of a weak blade detent...

....... has some camo satin right now
and satin black

I don't see them on the paid Bladeforums dealers list so you can't direct people to their site on the forums. I would edit their name out and send that to him in a visitor message or the moderators will be around shortly to scold you. :) They are an excellent company though that I have bought from several times. Here is a link to the sites that you can reference on the forums. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/entry.php/121-Who-are-the-Bladeforums-Paid-Dealers

I remember back when...I passed them up for around $80...I thought I could always get them on the exchange for that price or less...I was wrong!

Ya it seems like they should be they are popular enough. I was just letting you know because I've been nailed for it before lol.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I just went back and edited a post of my own . . .

I just bought a Digicam satin PM2 the other day. There were 10+ available and they sold out within 2 hours. Just keep your eyes open and you'll get one. I had been waiting to buy one for about a month before I got my chance. They always sell out in a matter of hours!

Just scored two plain satin edges (one camo and one black) from a retailer this afternoon. They definitely pop up from time to time but are gone within an hour or two. I'd recommend checking a few of the main websites daily and/or checking the exchange (especially in a few days ;) )

Would it be safe to assume the Para 2 is one of the fastest selling knives right now? Every time I see them available, they sell out in a couple hours.

It's all hit and miss right now, I got lucky by about 5 seconds to hit "order" on a digi satin the other day.

Yet you quoted it and left it there. It's as bad or worse than the original spot, since you should know better.
