  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

After carrying a ZT0301 for the last year and a half I decided to change things up a bit. Ordered myself a satin/black PM2 from BladeHQ yesterday. I selected express shipping at checkout and I guess they really mean express, had it in my hands at 12:30 today.

This is only my second Spyderco and I am impressed so far. Tight lock-up, no blade play, very sharp factory edge, excellent grippy G10, perfect blade centering. The size and weight are a delight in the pocket. Easy to open and close with my work gloves on.

Come Monday morning I'll see how it handles a high dust, sand, silica enviornment , I work in a gravel pit/stone quarry. I think with the open construction and compression lock it will do just fine.

I just got the exact PM2 today for my birthday and I am loving it!
Congrats on the new knife! I know I am in knife heaven!:)

Congrats. I got my first one around the same time you received your ZT0301 (great implement by the way). This thing has won the pocket championship many times against Strider ARs and Medford TFF-1s. Enjoy!

I've had mine a week, and I love it. I want to buy more knives, but I keep asking myself, 'what for?'

After playing with this knife I can understand your thinking.

However, I have a disease. You see I ordered the PM2 friday morning before work. Friday night I ordered a Swick 4, and there is also the Military I'd like to try out...matching satin/black of course :)

I understand. Prior to purchasing the PM2, I thought the Military was ridiculous. It's much too large to carry (I work in hospitals), and the liner lock can't possibly be as good as the compression lock - this was/has been my thinking. Post PM2 purchase, I want one. No, I feel like I need to have one. So there is that, no doubt, but there's also the 'what for.' Lol, so I do indeed understand.

Congratz!
The Para Military is in the top 5 best folders... ever.

One thing that does it for me on the pm2 is the jimping. It's leaps and bounds better than any other folder I own.

I'll join the chorus as to the PM2's greatness... The PM2 is kinda like baby bear's porrage in the "Three Bears"... It's just right... The size and blade shape is right, the construction is right, and the feeling in the hand and pocket is just right... I tend to like bigger knives, and the PM 2 is just the right size....

Enjoy....

I'll agree the PM2's Ergos are about perfect for an edc and te way it feels in my hand. But I have been addicted to my military latey. Word I advice, don't buy one. Haha. Just adds to the addiction.

I do not have a PM2, but I have put one in the cart a few times over the last 2 weeks only to change my mind at the last second. The reasoning is a combination of cost, blade and handle length, my preference for smaller blades and just a general fear I'd never develop a love for it. I'm quite sure though I'm suffering from some madness and the only cure would be to just get the damn thing. ;)

Get it and try it out. You'll have no problems unloading it on the exchange and your losses should be minimal if at all. For that matter, several have popped up in the exchange under retail pricing and could easily be flipped for what you pay, sure you'll lose a couple bucks on shipping and fees. Consider it a rental fee. :-)

An idea here.

The PM2 is my first spyderco too. i got the digicam handle and blade blade. really love it and it has since chosen to be carried more then any of my other folders.

My first Spyderco was the Manix 2 XL. Love the knife, but as it tends to go, once you get the Spyderbite the fever sets in. I wanted to try something a bit lighter and smaller in footprint too.

I have a used PM2 on the way. While it wasn't next on my list, I went for it as I know I won't have trouble moving it out if I don't like it.

I have larger than average hands (palm measures 4.10" at it's widest point) so I already know the handle, much like the M2XL is going to be very comfy for me. Should be here Thursday, can't wait to run it through my day to day paces. :)
