Does anyone know when the Para 2 is supposed to come out? I have been reading some past threads about it but have not seen a definite date out there, does anyone know the release date?

That would because TazKristi has not announced a date yet. Not sure who knows the date.

Well I guess that explains why I couldn't find the date. I hoped that I had just missed it in my searching, I don't like waiting and not knowing when my wait will be over.

That makes 2 of us. I really want one of these, probably more than any other knife at this point. Well, I also want a Superleaf, but that is for another thread. :D

Just keep an eye out for Kristi's postings, she will drop the news as soon as she has confirmation.
 
As long as its still going to be slightly larger than the original im all over it :)
 
From the pictures, they removed the sharp corner of the tang when closed by moving the pivot to the center of the G10. That is what appeared to be off initially. Glad it's more like the Military now. I'd be so happy if Sal threw out a S90V sprint.
 
Is this going to have a linerlock like the full size Military, or the compression lock like on the standard Para?
 
If my guess is right - I think the Superleaf will be coming out next.

According to the video above your post, looks like they stuck with the comp lock. :D
 
Well, I've been wanting to get a paramillie, but i was holding back until i could get a glimpse at the para 2... Because of it's larger size, I think i'm going to go on and get the original paramilitary. I really wish that they hadn't increased the size...
 
Can't stop watching this video over and over again...what a nice, well tought out knife. Can't wait to get one of those (or two, or three :D)...Compression lock, bushing system, choil, full flat grind, I mean...wow...just: Wow!

I like that they added some length to the blade, the paramilitary always looked disproportional to me.

I never minded it, I liked the original as-is. :)

The Para 2 looks like a polished truck in some respects. In others it looks nice though. I really wish that they hadn't changed the clip to that low of a configuration. One of the things I loved about the para and the military was the about 1" square "tab" I had to grab the knife by when drawing it. My concern with the new clip design is that will be at least partially lost.

Agreed. I hope the bigger lanyard hole will help to easily grab the knife in tip up configuration. We'll see :)
