Paramilitary 3 variants

I plan to get a Paramilitary 3. But before pulling the trigger, does anyone know if there will be steel/ handle variants; same as the Para 2?

Personally, I'd like a black blade/ digital camo Para 3.

Love the Para 3 form factor but it needs some CQI.

I'd want Green G10 with CTS-204P or Digicam G10 with M390 and either with a new clip mount that is right where the existing lanyard hole is.

CQI!!!

Check this thread for upcoming Spyderco models: https://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72920&sid=cbb6eab8ad2a283130bd0d513b57cde1

Regarding the PM3, there are these variants that are currently available or will be later this year (in addition to the standard black G10 PE PM3 that first came out):
  1. Para3 CPM-S30V ComboEdge Black G-10 (USA)
  2. Para3 CPM-S30V Digital Camo G-10 (USA)
  3. Para3 CPM-S30V Black Blade Digital Camo G-10 (USA)
  4. Para3 CPM-S30V Black Blade Black G-10 (USA)
  5. Para3 CPM-S30V SpyderEdge Black G-10 (USA)
I assume that at some point we will see some sprint runs but nothing publicly announced by Spyderco yet, so it might not be until late 2017 or 2018 before we see anything.

I wonder what Spyderco plans to call the Para Military 2 upon the next round of CQI. Seems as if Para Military 3 and PM3 is being used to refer to the Para 3, including by dealers such as KW  . Para Military 2 Plus? Unless the changes are drastic, I suppose it will retain its current Para Military 2 moniker.

Agreed.

Somebody on this forum actually wrote an entire, in-depth review on the "Paramilitary 3," which is a knife that, to the knowledge of most, does not exist. The reviewer used the incorrect name every time he referred to the knife, which appeared to in reality be a Spyderco Para 3.

Maybe it's a leftover in my head from journalism school, but man, accuracy matters!

Spyderco's own Spyderbyte went over the fact that it is the "Para 3" and not the "Paramilitary 3". To me yes, accuracy matters!
