In the Spyderco's catalog 2004, there is a description of the new Paramilitary:
The most awaited mid-sized knife of 2004..
Why is Paramilitary the only knife called a survival knife?
Just sort of advertisement, or is there 'something' that I miss, which is important for survival?
If I imagine any survival situation where I have only a folder, I would choose something sturdy (Chinook, Lil'Temperance, maybe Military), with good steel (S30V), with strong and reliable lock (the latter explains why Military is 'maybe').
Paramilitary would enter this class because the compression lock adds reliability and strength.
Any opinions?
