Sal,

These will be hot and I will likely buy one. S30V is a great idea, carbon fiber may be a good option, but G10 is plenty good - especially in a Forest Green.

Will it be possible just to have "Spyderco" on the blade? If "Paramilitary" is etched or scribed onto the blade, LEO or other people seeing the blade might get the wrong idea that we were Rambo or solidier of fortune wannabees.

Just a thought.

I would prefer if only Spyderco name is one the blade, I don't know how "Paramilitary " is chosen but in many parts of world it has very negative connotation.

I concur: only "Spyderco"
I love my Military and Police models but I hate the fact that their names are etched on the blade. Any time anyone sees one of mine they ask "How did you get a police knife?" or "Is that really the knife that the military uses?"

I'm new to the knife thing, but I've always recognised spydies by the trademark hole. that's branding enough. Sal, please make the paramilitary with a 3.5inch blade in S30V and G10 scales...with perhaps a more aggresive blade profile like the gunting....thanks!:D

I agree with the earlier posts. Just a plain blade, or maybe a 'bug' on it, but please leave the name off of it.

Add my name to this list. Just Spyderco and the steel designation. I would rather have number designation than names.

I Desagree folks I think the names on the blade like Police and Military reflect on the personality of the knife. I for one would love to get the Para Military with it etched in laser or diamond.

I also think these puppies should be offered in OD G-10 and in Titanium scales. Leave the black for the Military do the Para different to make it more distinguished.

I agree with the majority. I don't think that putting Paramilitary on the blade would be necessary. It's the same reason that I don't like the MOD insignia on my blade. Bad connotation.
Matt
