I have watched some reviews and did some reaserch on the para2 and a few peolpe say the tip of the blade can be easily bent. Just wondering how much force would you have to do something like that. Anybody have this problem before?

I've seen tips snapped off and tip's edge snapped off but you would have to be "silly" and very unlucky to bend the tip of a folder. A thin, soft fixed blade with more length is a lot more likely to get a bent tip.

I wouldn't worry about it and just use the strengths of the blade grind and taper. Way people use thin tipped wharncliffe, clip point, etc. on slip-joints and modern designs. Spear point, drop point, and tanto with thicker blades near the tip you can treat a little different and are good for emergency non-knife use in place of a proper tool.

ive never heard of this problem ,,but any pocket knife tip can break off if used incorectlty,,

I wouldn't say that the tip of the Para 2 can be easily bent. I would say that the tip of the Para 2 can be bent or broken more easily than the tips of certain other folders that I own, but then again, the very nice distal taper of the Para 2 also enables it to slice more readily than those other folders. So, as is almost always the case, you have to be willing to allow for competing priorities. Balancing blade strength against cutting efficiency is about as fundamental a trade off as exists in the cutlery world. For me, aggressive tip work is not a task I would normally undertake with a folder. As such, I EDC my Para 2 routinely.

 I've carried and used P1s and P2s for several years now, both in warehouse work and woods "travels". I've never damaged the tip on one. You'll be fine if you use it for things a knife should be used for.

As the others have said, if used properly the knife will last you a long time.

I slightly flattened the very tip while cutting open a pallet. I was in a hurry while cutting down and smacked it into the concrete.
