There was a previous thread comparing a "CD" para and a "GD" para.

What's the difference between at "CD" and an "FD"?

Thanks.

The plot thickens :)

The "CD" and "GD" designations are on the Spyderco box.
I posted the pics of the differences. It was Deputy Tom who pointed out that My "GD" designated paramil was just like his "CD" marked paramil.
Paramilitary differences

Carlos pointed out that my "CD" was a very early one.

Tom, Do you have an "FD" or did you see that designation somewhere?

I had posted in another tread that I believe the CD and FD codes are dates (for all current models) C and F months 3 and 6 and D the Year 4. It to me would only indicate when it was boxed. I'm sure variations may even exist even in the same codes

Tom,

"FD" was on the box of a Para someone had for sale.

Looks like the only way to tell if the knife is the early or modified version (per Sal's post) is to see the areas affected.
