My friend Raj lives out west, somewhere along the border line I'm sure ;) but he loves knives about as much as I do, possibly more, which means he's in trouble!

But just recently he sent out some knives for me to tune up edge wise for him, plus a couple other things with them and amongst the knives was a really nice Pardue stag handled lockback, needed sharpening, a little clean up but otherwise in excellent shape. I commented that this seemed to be a departure from his usual knives, he said he liked the stag, I'd not argue that, and ended up getting it. After I sharpened it up I commented how nice it was and sharpened up very well, one unusual aspect of this folder is, there isn't any nail nicks on either side, the blade is fairly deeply hollow ground so the spine provides adequate gripping surface for either hand to pull it open, so it's left and right hand friendly. Raj said I could borrow it for as long as I needed, just to send her home if she starts to get left too much at home. I was estatic with that news! so without further commentary, here she be, I did make a soft slip sheath to help keep gunk from finding a home inside the handle, plus helps to keep it in pocket too.

Here's a couple shots of the knife,

Just over 4" closed, not sure the steel of the blade.
Blade is about 2.7" long and at the Spine it is about .125" wide

Gary that's a real fine looking folder. Raj sounds like a fine gent. What else can you do but honor his wishes? :)

Any pcs of the slip? I know its first rate if you made it!

Thanks Brian, no shots of the sheath, nothing of note about it, just soft leather sewn down one side, almost like a finger of a glove ;)

Beautiful knife with fantastic stag, Gary!! And it's sort of shaped like your sowbelly stockman, right? :D
How does this loaner fit into those sowbelly plans?

Thanks guys, and sowbelly plans, well, kinda fits in, the sowbelly does still travel in the watch pocket and is very very handy, the Pardue rides in the slip sheath and is mainly being on display :)

That's a great "compromise"!
I often carry one knife (or more) for "function" and another knife (or two) for "fashion". :p

Thanks! the stag is excellent and well matched too, very nice carry and now, very sharp !

It has a number below the name, 052, not sure what that indicates?

and there is an orange micarta back spacer at the end of the handle just past the lock mech, all in all it's a very nice knife and I just laid my sowbelly on top and the curve is pretty close!

Ugh, those original photos had tons of dust, winter has a lot of static in the air, I cleaned up the plastic light box and re-shot the Pardue, looks nicer now, as it should be ;)
