I made this knife for my mom. I see some discoloration in the micarta, and I think that is green polishing paste. Next time I guess I will just use the "pink scratchless" paste.

That outer layer of micarta I found at Alpha Knife Supply. It is called "chili pepper red" or something. It looks really nice as long as you don't get green polishing paste into it. Like, I pushed too hard on the buffer wheel I guess, and that tinge of green stayed in it.

I like it. I actually really like the stacked micarta look. As for the discoloration- I don't notice it. I think as makers we're always hypercritical of our work and tend to focus on perceived imperfections. At least I do. It looks great though- size, shape, ergonomics- all on point.
 
Nice! Think the green you are concerned about would come off if you buffed again with different grit. I think the white diamond might work, and not leave color. Or do that spot by hand with 00 steel wool. Like the over-all design. Hope Mom likes it and puts it to good use!
