Repeat business is always welcome, and such was the case with this little paring knife. Fellow knife nut Noah has one of these in walnut, but needed another with different wood. Mesquite fits the bill for a knife handle quite well, and I love working with it. Pronounced "mes-keet", or "muh-skeet", for my yankee buddies. ;) Black G10 liners, brass pins. O-7 tool steel (1.2519), which I LOVE. Sharpened to 30° inclusive. I went to 12k on a waterstone, and then back to 1k a few swipes, to add more bite onto the polished edge. Pretty dad gum sharp! Thanks for looking.

your blade finishing skills! Its getting to the point where I must see your blades in person. It looks flawless!

I like that knife. Paring knife or not, I could see that as a great bird/trout/small game knife.

Thanks guys! Timos...your compliment is much appreciated. I must admit the lighting in that photo really makes my work look good! All hand sanding.....pre heat treat and post heat treat. No grinders in my shop, besides the Delta I use for wood work. I use the same procedure on all my knives as you would to polish a hamon. 80 grit, then cross that with 120, cross that with 220, cross that with 400, cross that with 800, then lengthwise 800 again. Semichrome polish a few times....done! Takes quite a while on Chef's knives!
