here's a little knife I made for my wife's birthday
the steel is from a coil spring(rescued from local junk yard)
handle material is streaked buffalo horn
blade length is 3 3/4"
OAL is 7"
this is the thinnest blade i have ever HT'd (2mm @ ricasso)
so I was a little nervous-but all turned out well.
I think buffalo horn is the smelliest stuff i've ever worked with!!

Nice looking parer, your wife should really enjoy that one in the kitchen! I like thin steel knives as they show what steel can do when it's thin......slice like no tomorrow!

That certainly is a perfect paring knife, nice job,I'm sure your Wife will love it & get good use from it,too.

yup a great looking little paring knife. Lets see how it looks in a year lol. I gave my wife a knife. She has developed a highly interesting patina on it.
