Parker Eagle brand?

I was digging through my closet and found some knives that my father gave me when I was a child. I did not have an interest in knives at that time

, so I put them up. I just rediscovered them. They are NIB. They are all Parker Eagle brand. One is a butterfly knife marked "gypsy" with modified elk horn handles. Another one has a blade that is longer than the handle. The handle has a metal piece that extends from it to hold the excess part of the blade. When you open the knife the metal piece folds into the handle and acts as a lock. The other two are traditional folders, one being a stag handled "Texas commemorative" edition. Does anyone know anything about these knives or the Parker company? I am sure they are not worth alot, more sentimental value than anything else.

I have the same butterfly model. It was Jim Parker who had the line of knives back in the 80's not sure the exact time frame. He also provided the earlier club knives for the ABCA for American Blade Magazine which became Blade. Now I could be getting into a grey area here but I seem to recall that Frost Cutlery was involved at some point.I'm sure there is some one who will know more here though.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Case Cutlery actually merged with Parker Knives, Parker Edwards and dropped that name. Case I think bought them out! Middle 80's I think is when this all happened. Now it's just Case & Son's Cutlery Co. Also the Parker Knives were referred to as Eagle Brand Knives at one time.

Parker Knives also used some damascus steel in their pocket knives, too. Now Case Cutlery does a few damascus models, or at least they used to.

The two owners of Parker Knives did split up, one went and opened up Frost Knives, the other went to Case Cutlery. If you have one of Frost Cutlery's catalogs, you will even see that they are a full line dealer for Case knives as well as there own and a few others, too.

Another note: Bear MGC made Frost U.S.A. knives, Frost's, the American Made Ones! BEAR MGC I was told is making knives where Parker Eagle Brand Knives used to make theirs at, but I can't confirm how true that part really is!

Maybe someone else can.
