A customer came in yesterday with what he called a decent working knife that had a bad bend in the point and needed some reprofiling and a new edge put on it.
It ended up to be a nice little Parker Edwards and I thought it was worth sharing it with the group.
It has a pattern welded bladed with anlter scales for the handle.
If you look at this last photo you can see that there is what looks to be a copper pin through the brass bolster.
I tried to talk the customer into letting me repolish and etch the blade but all he let me do was a quick etch and a buff. He wanted it to keep the aged look. I think it cleaned up quite nice.
Any idea on value of this? I have seen some go for $75 like this and others above $100.
