Hey all:

Does anyone have one of these? Worth adding to a collection. I understand they were copied from a Civil War original in Seki City in Japan.

Any input would be great

Cheers,
Gareth

I have one of those. I think that it was made in the 1930s. It's pretty cool.

Do either of you guys have a picture of this knife? I'm interested to see what it might look like.
Is it like the Marbles folding bowie/safety knife?

The scales on mine are bone of some type. The knife is extremely well made.

A good source for this kind of thing is Cove Cutlery--they soemtimes have them on hand.

Hi,
Parker came out with this series in 1985. I have had several of the knives in the series. Along with the surgical steel they were also made with damascus blades produced by Tak Fukuta. Those are pretty rare and demand a premium price when they are found for sale. There were 1,200 of that particular knife produced. Very cool piece!

I remember them from the 80's. They were decent, not great. They sold anywhere from $70-130.00. I use to see them at the old cutlery world stores. Which of course have now long been out of business (for years).

I use to have a tak-fakuta folder. I think I paid maybe $45.00 for it?
