I attended the Parker Knife Show in Seviereville, TN yesterday. There was a very good selection of traditional knives at the show. I picked up a few pieces that I wanted to share with you. There is a gentleman (unfortunately I did not catch his name) who exhibits at the Parker show that re-builds old knives from old parts, he does beautiful work and is very reasonable. I picked up a nice 4 1/4" Cattaraugus Jack with beautiful bone handles, a John Primble India Steel Works stockman and a VA TN Hardware stockman. All have really nice old bone scales and all blades are marked. Fit and finish is very good, all three knives walk and talk beautifully.

I'm a bit under the weather this morning with a cold so I spend some time sharpening the Cattaraugus Jack on my set of Arkansas stones. It took an awesome, hair popping edge. I think I'll carry it a bit.

Thanks for the kind comments, also found an interesting Craftsman, I'm guessing from the 60's, It's stamped Craftsman and stainless steel.

Great-looking knives. Thanks for giving us a look at them

You did great. All knives are looking good, although, to my opinion, the Catt. jack is a step above the others.

I like all three of those knives. I'd say you did exceptionally well. I like the VA-Tenn Hdwe Co. knife at the bottom.

Not sure about the Catt, but the Primble and the VA TN are most likely Jim Parker specials, made by Utica. The blade profiles are pretty distinctive.

Very cool finds. Competent Guys that fix and mod slipjoints are a dying breed it seems like.
