Parking Lot Sale

^ cool. too bad I'm on the opposite coast. bet some interesting, rare and unique stuff in that tent.

anyone in cali goes ....clue us in to what ya see. thanks.

Don't worry if you can't make it. There is an entire OTHER shipping container full of even better (yep - the even better stuff was reserved for the internet) stuff that will be hitting eBay in the coming months on "lynnthompsonsvault". Stay tuned for that.

We will have an entire tent called "Lynn's Vault" that will contain rare, discontinued, prototypes, one offs, etc from his personal collection that will be for sale.

I can not find this information on the Cold Steel website - what Specific covid protections will be in place ?

I've been to previous Sales - everyone is shoulder to shoulder, 3 rows deep of people trying to make a purchase; sometimes it's even hard to move around. Thank you for a detailed response.

Found some information to my question on the CS instagram page. My question of how Cold Steel will regulate and enforce social distancing has not been answered with specifics. If you have been to a parking lot sale before, you know how hard (impossible ?) it will be to even try to social distance from each other.

All information below is copied direct from Cold Steel (from 3 different responses):

"*COVID restrictions in place - please bring a mask and maintain social distancing. Cold Steel is providing sanitization stations and temperature checks upon entry*⁣"

"we will not have walls on the tents, rearranging everything to be less crowded, moving all of the seating to be disbursed, spreading out the demonstration area, requiring distancing while in line for anything, masks required, sanitization stations for hands throughout, as well as sanitizing all products and surfaces frequently, temperature checks upon entering and wristbands, the list goes on. We’re being as safe as we can be for the sake of our customers. Sure beats the precautions being taken in stores!"

FROM COLD STEEL: "rearranging everything to be less crowded". To put my mind at ease (and anyone else who is interested), I really would like more information/specifics as to how this is being done. As I said before, usually people are shoulder to shoulder (5 tables across), can barely move, guy behind you breathing down your neck trying to get to the table.

"We moved it up [the Sale is usually in late November] because of the election and a potential “second wave” of COVID, don’t want to get shut down again."

Hope it helps

Still figuring out details, it could take a few months, there are actual full shipping containers (yes plural) to inventory and make individual ad's for, descriptions, photos, etc for tens of thousands of knives will take some time. We're trying to do it with as least amount fo impact on our staff and as quickly as possible, give us some time. It'll be worth it.

Sound exciting! New products or rare vintages?

"Lynn's Vault" ...contain rare, discontinued, prototypes, one offs, etc from his personal collection ....
wow! it sounds more exciting than a day at the cheyenne mountain complex
understandably, prevailing bio hazard levels will make online purchases a survivor's top choice for a while yet.
wishing for nicest things to happen
to those who can wait...
