Parking nonsense at Blade.

So I made my reservations. :D:D:D

Last year I just parked myself and that was that. While I was on the phone with the rep, she told me it was valet parking ONLY, and it was 15 bucks a day ..

How beat. This is different from last year, right? Or did I just break the rules last year. ;)

Is this at the show or the hotel?

:eek: Hmmm, did you call the hotel directly to ask? With the exception of my reservation number, I take most everything else told to me by Ms. or Mr. 1.800.I.Only.Tell.You.What.My.Computer.Tells.Me.To with a grain of salt. ;)

Try direct @ 770.953.4500 and see what they (at the hotel, not Central Reservations) tell ya. :)

I'm guessing the hotel.

No big deal, I will just see what happens when I get there.

Yeah, they don't do reservations at the hotel anymore like in years past, so you did prolly get transferred like I did after specifically requesting to make the res. with them.

...Just tell 'em that you're "a personal friend of Jerry Busse", a la Robert Hazard. (yeah, 80's flashback in progress here!!) LOL ;););) :D

just tell them that you are there for the "Busse Pillow Fight" and your room will be comped. remember to bring your pajama's as it's co-ed. :thumbup:

Just checked my reservation, and they included the 15 bucks a day in my total!! :mad:

I just checked my reservation email, and although I do see a notation that valet parking is $15 per day, it is not part of my room rate of $154 a night. I also see that complimentary on-site parking is also available. If your rate matches mine, the convention room rate, then you're good to go. :thumbup:

Yep, 154 a night, for 3 nights. My total is $527..

154 x 3 = 462 + 22 bucks in taxes or whatnot = $484.. That should be my total.

$484 + 3 days of valet parking @ 15 bucks a day= 529..

So beat, I'll just have to call em'..
 
I can tell you that last year, free self parking was available. According to their web site, that is still true.

Another thing to note is that web access in the rooms carries an extra fee of $15 daily. :mad: I think you can get free WiFi in the lobby.
 
No worries. I checked with the hotel and was told that all those who find this charge on their bill but won't be needing valet parking should go to the front desk between 12pm & 12:30pm Friday and they'll take care of you then. :thumbup:
