Part of a Keris Sheath?

I found this in an antique/junk shop in Maine: Looks like the top of a Keris sheath. What can you tell me about it's age, whether it was made for tourists, etc?

Tourist goods...probably from India/Pakistan.

I'm going with Indonesia, not the Subcontinent. Sure, produced for commercial sale, but it was still carved by someone with tremendous skill. It's beautiful!
