Previously I posted herehttp://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=612732
concerning my comparison of a Buck 301, and the Chinese version Buck 376. In that thread I voiced my surprise to find that the 301 had some blade play. It was not a huge amount of movement, but noticable. I sent it back to Buck. While waiting for the replacement/repair, I ordered another 301. It arrived today, and it has exactly the same blade play as the first. No worse, no better. I could easily mistake it for the same knife. Both 301s are 2008 production. I'm fine with it as is, and I have no plans of sending it back. I just sent the first one in because from what I've read about Buck, the movement sounded unusual. Afer receiving this second knife, I'm inclined to think it isn't all that unusual. The 301 is put together very nicely otherwise, and I really like the utility of the knife. It's in my pocket as I type this.
I'll post back when I receive my other knife back from Buck as to whether it has the blade movement, or no movement like the 376.
