It took them just shy of 3 weeks to reply to my email about my order. I was recommended to use the chat feature next time. Didn't realize there was one! ...noted.

Ordered December 6.
There was an auto-generated email on Dec 21 stating a delay.
The email today stated there is a parts shortage that is delaying many orders.

I would guess the shortage is either the S90V steel or carbon fiber handles.

The RMA they received from me late Dec / early Jan will arrive Monday. Not too excited about that because the steel is CPM-154 with nylon handle. I mainly RMAed it because I wanted to get an unsharpened blade. Not excited about that anymore, though... I always thought they screwed up the angles until I realized the scandi bevel is not always perfect on each side which yields the blade bevel to be longer on one side.

One of the hardest things about knife bevels/edges is that a very slight difference that would otherwise be extremely difficult to measure is exaggerated by the angle and surface area. To that, I mean that an absolute error that is in the single-digit thousandths of an inch suddenly shows because it doesn't line up, or an off-angle by tiny fractions of a degree can leave an edge that is seemly disproportionately off simply due to the nature of the triangle.
It's alright to be as picky as you want to be, but it's also worth making sure that your standards are in line with what you are paying for and looking at. I'm not interested in telling anyone how to live, just sharing that happiness isn't always found at the end of the rainbow of perfection.

I was referring specifically to of the cutting bevel that is affected by the angle of the primary bevel, not the end of the apex.

Ya, just like the work "expert", "perfect" is often misused and over-used ; )
