I'm headed to the knife show this morning with the kids. First time, so kinda excited.

I have a few Emerson's and a ZT 560 that I wouldn't mind trading. Is it worth bringing them? Is the an area to trade?

I've been to a few gun and knife shows down my way. Most of the dealers want to low ball you. They buy low, sell high. That's how they make their money. So, you just have to be chosey who you trade with. You will get more money/better trade if you take your boxes. I'd much rather trade with folks here on the forums to be honest. I feel like I get a more fair deal here than at the shows.

I've been to the gun and knife show at the George R. Brown Center and took a Bone Collector and a couple other knives in the $80 dollar range; I couldn't work a trade with anyone.

Good Luck, have fun.

It is the same at the Pasadena convention center and the Reliant center shows. I do like going though and buying with cash. I never pay the asking price, as its usually very elevated. Sometimes good deals can be had with a bit of haggling. If there is a specific knife I am looking for I always research online pricing before I go. And I refuse to pay more than I would if I purchased it online.
