I just sent out the passaround Poncho after a week of careful fondling. Here are some of my random thoughts on it.

Fit and finish: Amazing, truly above average job. Everything was well rounded and looked like it belonged, not a sharp edge on the knife.

Overall design: The knife just looked odd to me when it was open. The blade looked huge compared to the handle, it is wider than the handle. Also the design is quite blade heavy, it almost flipped out of my hand when I opened it briskly. Definitely a unique design, noway to mistake who made this knife, even without the fizz job.

Blade: The blade was suprisingly thick, though I didn't measure it I would guess it at 3/16". Very even grinds, appealing yet very useful design. The tip is amazingly strong and thick almost full spine thickness there, though the top grind in the middle thins the blade out, if that makes sense. I am very impressed by this blade and would love to see how it would perform under much harder use.

Handle: It wasn't very comfortable to me and felt too small for my hands. The fizz job felt a little rough with a firm grip though it looked cool. I would have definitely liked to have seen thicker slabs to counter the blade weight.

Lock up: Solid yet a little sticky, not as smooth to disengage as my Firetac. The lock bar looked thin compared to the blade mostly due to the contouring of the edge.

Pocket clip: Neat as all get out! Truely original and useful the hidden screw really adds to eye appeal. It provided a secure grip without being too strong like Striders pocket clips.

I hoped I haven't bored you guys too much. Matt definitely makes a great knife, I can see why they fly off the for sale forum so fast. This particular model was not exactly to my liking but with this level of fit and finish I will definitely take a HARD look at his knives for my next custom purchase. Thank you for the opportunity to handle one of your knives Matt.

thanks for the review.

By the way, this knife will be forsale in a few weeks.
