This is a passaround to benefit Hanna, John's granddaughter who is battling leukemia (like a champ!).
Included are:
- a stripped user Becker BK-2 Campanion with factory Kydex sheath
- a Kershaw Blur volunteered by Mr. BobSig, on it's way to me, I'll post pics when I receive it
- and a large Chris Reeve Knives Sebenza 21, handles have had the "scotchbrite treatment," so they're really smooth and scratch resistant

In addition to the standard passaround rules (posted below) I'll add a couple of my own:
- you agree to donate at least $25.00 toward Hanna's medical expenses (money will be sent directly to JK via Paypal gift, NOT TO ME)
- you must have at least 5 positive buy/sell/trade feedback, and no negative feedback

Sorry for the shoddy pics, it gets dark early these days. I'll try to add pics with better lighting in the next few days...

Official Bladeforums passaround rules, my additions in bold:
The Short List:

1. Bladeforums.com is not reponsible for anything pertaining to this passaround.

2. I will ship the knife insured appropriately and within the designated timeframe (one week) and agree to replace it if lost.

3. I am over 18 years of age, and the knife involved in the passaround is legal to possess and carry in my jurisdiction.

4. I understand that I am not exchanging money for any goods. (I am donating to a good cause, not purchasing the knives)

5. I agree to pass along the knife in the condition I received it, or better.

6. If I violate any of these rules, I will be banned and not allowed to participate in any more passarounds. I also understand that my name, address, and contact information will be posted as a warning to prevent others from being scammed.

7. Must be a member for at least 6 months, and must have some form of paid membership

------------------------------------------

More Complete Passaround forum rules:

By agreeing to take part in any passaround posted on Bladeforums, I agree to the following conditions:

1. I release BladeForums.com, it's members, etc from any liability that results from my participating in this passaround. This includes any damages that may result from using, abusing, or testing the passaround knife.

2. I agree that I will have the passaround knife for a set period of days as specified in the passaround thread, then send it to the next person on the list, at my expense. I agree that postage and insurance are my responsibility and that should the knife fail to reach the next member of the list, it is my responsibility to replace it. PLEASE NOTE: Must be sent Priority mail insured for $400.00. This will probably cost about $15.00 or more. Keep this in mind

3. I agree that should I fail to live up to my obligations in this passaround, I will be banned and my personal information will be published so that others will have "fair warning". This will be left up to the discretion of the moderators. Remember that is a priveledge and can be revoked at any time.

4. I affirm that I am over 18 years of age, and that the knife involved in the passaround is legal to possess and carry in my jurisdiction. By choosing to participate in paid passarounds, I agree that the money being sent is not in exchange for any good or service and I agree to release BladeForums.com, it's members, etc from any liability for the loss of the funds invested in the passaround if the knife is lost or destroyed.

When sending the knife, I will send by a method that requires signature confirmation and insure the package for an amount equal to or greater than the replacement cost of the knife. I acknowledge that this will be more expensive and bear the sole responsibility to package the knife / item with all seams taped and the item secured wrapped within the package.

(USPS is considered to be the cheapest and fastest service for mailing a passaround knife, however UPS is faster on claim service).

I will make the best effort to pass along the knife in as good of condition as possible, if not better. If the blade is dull and I feel confident in your sharpening skills, I will put a fresh edge on the knife before I send it along. I will clean any grime or residue off the blade before passing it along. PLEASE check with me before sharpening the knives

In the event the knife is broken, fails, or is otherwised destroyed, I will immediately contact whoever is in charge of the passaround.

If the knife has failed due to defect, I will arrange to have the knife returned for warranty service.

If the knife failed due to abuse that is not covered by the warranty, it is my responsibility to replace the knife.

It is *my* responsiblity for getting the knife to the next person on the list.

By participating in the passaround, I agree to adhere to the above posted rules, and any violation of the rules will cause my membership at Bladeforums.com to be revoked. I also understand that if I am a Gold, Premium, Knifemaker, or Dealer member, and my membership is revoked, I will not be entitled to any refunds of said membership fees.

This list is an addendum to the user agreement found at http://www.bladeforums.com/copyright2.shtml

Do not send paypal gift, just do standard paypal.

Just to update everybody, knives are currently with voracious1 and SueZQ.
Thanks!

Is there other threads where people are posting their pictures and reviews?

Indeed I'll post some photos and hopefully a video. I have the knives, they're all matters of fun. The Sebenza is what I've been wanting to experience, and the BK-2 was quite the unexpected joy. The Blur isn't something I'm unfamiliar with, I have many of them. :D

So, I'll do my best to get the media up before I ship them out. Cheers gents!

the knives arrived safe and sound...thanks. i am looking forward to playing with them a bit.

okay so I have no intention of putting this to any use. It was a very nice gesture for arskrg to put these up for a passaround to benefit Hanna and I can already tell you I could not put his edges back on if I took them off, so I'm not going to risk it. It was a very enjoyable experience to see these three knives for the first time though.

okay here they all are
100_6793_zps2790355b.jpg

As for the CRK 21, well, yeah, it's build to perfection and is very smooth. It was very fun to admire it:

Love the f and f, as you might expect, the only problem I can think of is that CRK could never have surprised me, or exceed my expectations, because, well, it's meant to be perfectly build, and it is, and you can't do better then that, right?
100_6791_zpsdceced3e.jpg

loved the design of the lanyard thingy and the touches of blue on it and the thumb stud00

I thought the slanted thumb studs on the blur were a very nice touch and made it much more accessible then other speed safe knives I've tried, however I found myself wondering where the flipper was and might have preferred it more if it had one.

As you might expect I found the bk2 to be a monster of a knife

Sweet KYe -

It will be cool to hear your impressions.

Is this the first look you have had at a CRK? What about the Becker?

I was impressed with how beefy the Becker is, and it looks right at home with your JKs
