Today it was a great day at blade. The guys had some great knives . The aggressive tanto was absolutely a must have. I have to tell how the guys looked out for this young kid who had a disability. He participated in the lottery and didn't get a knife. The only thing he wanted was an xm. He apparantly has been saving for this and was just pining for one. The guys got him a knife. The world is ok. Seeing this made my day. I just wanted to confirm what everyone already knew. The Hinderer crew are great
Guys.

Pardon the typos I did this from my phone waiting for
my car. I had to post this asap

I was there all day hanging out with hhski, and witnessed this as well. Rick, Rob and the guys stepped up and did an amazing thing getting this young man one of the Hinderer's he had saved so hard for. Even though I missed out in the lottery, being front and center talking to Rob when he did this for this guy made the show for me. The guys at Hinderer are absolutely amazing, and earned tons of respect in my book. Heck...they even smiled and put up with hhski and I bugging the piss out of them hanging out at the booth all day! Hat's off to Rick, Rob, Mike and the guys for making my first BLADE show a blast, and showing me that there are still some great guys out there.

How do you think I became a Mod? " Hey Rick, Hey Rob, Hey Rick, Hey Rob......" They finally gave in

Awesome. Thanks for sharing! I have to say I'm not surprised they did that. They really are a great bunch of people. All my interactions with them, whether it be the brief couple of times in person, or online, they have been some of the most courteous, cool guys I've talked to in general let alone the knife industry. Makes me even more proud to say I carry a Hinderer knife every day.

I have a few XM 18s...They are valuable--in demand--Durable..Pleasing to the eye...But this is the kind of stuff I enjoy hearing..I live in ATL..but have to work all weekend..Dissappointed but ok..Grateful for my job..Work ..then play...The Hinderer TEAM..is a family..Never spoke with and or met them..ALTHOUGH..All of these folks have INTEGRITY that speaks in volumes of WHY I carry and have purchased numerous XM 18s.. Just one of the reasons..Doing for others...and NOT expecting anything in return..Giving to others..GIVES back so very much inside..You cant imagine. These folks made this young mans DREAM come true.. HOW absolutley GIVING and Selfless is THAT....Rick and his TEAM/Family.. ...simply ROCK.....I look forward too many Hinderer storys just like this...Oh and many more Hinderers in my POSSE..

Be safe and take care

Outstanding story. These guys are without a doubt the kind you feel honored to know.

I was there yesterday at the show and was fortunate to win a XM-24 custom in the lottery and see such a genuinely kind gesture extended to the young man mentioned above by Rick and has great partners. I got to speak with Rob Reece at the booth and was genuinely impressed by the kind and patient way he spoke with my son and I.....as well as the others around me at the booth. After I was so fortunate to win the custom XM...I tracked Mr. Hinderer down to see if I could get him to sign my box as well as my sons...he was genuinely pleased to do so and spent about 5 min talking with me about his new sticker on the boxes which signifies his 25 years of knife artistry.. I have to say...I was completely overwhelmed by how much of a true gentleman and how humble he is considering his tremendous success. He made a lasting impression on not just me and my son but truly every person I saw him come into contact with. Before yesterday, I had the upmost admiration for his knives...today I have tremendously more respect for him as a true gentleman.

Great story, thanks for sharing.... The crew at Hinderer is really a class act, no doubt about it.
