It’s with great sadness that I bring the news of the passing of one of your members. His name was Don Powell Sr. He was my father. Dad’s background was in the medical field, but his passion was knives. I got the pleasure of going with dad to a knife show this past winter here in Hunt Valley MD where I got to meet the people he spoke so highly of. It was one of the most therapeutic things he could have ever done. In the end it was one of the most difficult things I ever witness, and that was dad saying his final goodbyes. Dad knew they were his last…

Dad has left behind some beautiful knives, but also countless amounts of Blade forum magazines. If anyone wants the magazines please just ask. I would be more than glad to send them to you.

Thank you all for sharing dad’s passion, Don Jr.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Death is very sad and very final.

Tough stuff.

Now your job is to live in place of your father and do things you know would have made him proud.

My condolences to you and your family, Eagletwo. Glad to hear that your father was able to say goodbye to the people who inspired him and shared the same passion.

If it's not too much to ask, could you send me an email regarding the magazines? I'd really appreciate it - been trying to locate issues for a while now.

My condolences. Wish it was a painless death, and that he was with those he loved before passing. There is little more one can ask at their time of death.

I would like to convey my deepest sympathy. This time last year I was taking care of my Father in the Bay Area so he could die at home. That's what he wanted to do when he was told he had 6 months at the most.He passed on last Oct.4 and I miss him every day,he was 88 years old.

My condolences to you and your family. I believe I have spoken with your father a couple times about traditionals. He was a great man.

May I be sent an e-mail about the time/place of the funeral? I will see if I can get a few free days to drive up and attend.

If there are a few magazines that K&G does not request may I have them? I will gladly pay shipping and would be nice to have something to remember him by.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Losing a parent is one of the hardest parts of life. You have my sympathies. Stick around here.

I am sorry to hear of your loss Eagletwo. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

My prayers and condolences to you and your family. As I get older, I see more and more of this and it's never easy or pleasant.

May God bless you and ease your pain in time.
