hey all,

I've been passing the time I've got while i'm on knife buying hiatus by making beads with johns scrap wood he sent me:

Also playing around with making landyards

and putting bails on things so i can use the landyards

As you can see I'm trying to stay busy, wondered what and if you guys might have been up to besides owning all those awesome knives,

thanks

I cleaned the shop this morning after I finished up a couple of knives. Getting ready to start Cooper`s DBH and Trapline in the morning. Supposed to go to the shooting range today when Dave gets home from work, I gave him my Springfield XD-9 Tactical, and he`s itching to go shoot it.

Love the lanyard with the shackle, has a nautical look to it. My garden is in so I am back to cutting wood in my spare time.

Great job on the beads! We're heading to the Outer Banks of NC Saturday for a week of vacation (read that as fishing, being lazy in the sun, and enjoying a few drinks) I have been lucky enough the past few weeks to pick up some overtime so most of my time has been work and yardwork.

curth: thanks, I'm going for nautical one some of them, a guy on the traditional forum has one on his 68 white owl and I asked him is I minded stealing his idea and tried making my own version, he was very helpful, he produced one heck of a lanyard as well, he calls them leashes which i also like :)

Fishiker: sounds nice, thansk for the comment on the beads, have fun on your trip!

another attempt:

Nice handy work, it's nice to have something to tinker with that doesn't cost much money.

I've just been working, it seems. Nothing exciting going on here.

Sounds like me,the same old same old.

Nice beads Pete & digging the round lace,it's a nice deviation from the standard square lace.
I'm gonna get me some...

Thanks, Myke.

Yes the circle lace is cool, I thought it was pretty cool, seems to break off a little easier though if you put some tension on it, I'd get it thick as your can, this is 2mm I believe.

Cool,thanks for the info Pete.
Is it too weak for a necker cord?(might be just the thing if it gives before strangling the wearer.)

We did go to the range yesterday, Becky wanted to go too, so I took along my S&W Airweight .38, and my old S&W K frame .38 for her to try, as well as my .45 and Glock 9mm for me. She did not care for the Airweight, but was downright deadly with the K frame!

Another thing to make while passing the time, is walking sticks. I like to cord wrap mine.
