Paste Wax and Sheaths

I've heard of people using paste wax as a finish on knife sheaths. What brands are best? How do you apply it? How does it work? etc.

My man Sandy who has been making leather goods FOREVER!!! recomends a comercial leather finish. Not wax. I use bag kote.....thats all I know

I usually just use shoe polish as a final finish on leather, but often have used Ren wax too. Just rub on, buff off. It'd be nice to have a soft buff dedicated for that, or maybe one of those shoe buffers they used to make in the 70s.

I use Kiwi neutral shoe polish in the can. I apply as a final finish and buff off. It can be applied whenever needed during the life of the sheath. Same as a pair of dress shoes.
