Greetings,

The Crawford's have a great reputation in the field, but I've been looking for reviews of their work in the forums with no luck. i'm looking to pick up either a point guard or a kff, maybe even the non-folding version of the kasper.

does anyone have experience with their folders and fixed blades? i've got cheapo crkt versions of the large point guard and small kff, but i'm wondering what refinements to expect with the custom versions.

how do they hold up to other, comparable folders (lightfoot, darrel ralph, brian tighe, chris reeves)?

thanks for your input.

Cheers,

Steve

They are beautifully made knives, which can be had in basic materials or done up for nice presentation. Forum member Iam matt can tell you - he's got a load of Crawfords in his collection and probably could answer all your questions.

It's all very personal - how you feel about a given knife when you handle one or look at it. So it's hard to say, Yeah, as good as "so and so." Go to the Crawford's web site and see the goods and check out dealer's wares. Knifeart always seem to have some neat Crawfords for sale or to just look at on the site.

Boinks right on with Iam matt. Have you done a search on Crawford knives? I know I have done a review on the KFF and several more. They should be there. Great knives also. The KFF is perhaps the best fitting folding knife ever made! By this I mean fitting in your hand. You only have to pick one up to instantly see it.

I've bought a couple of their folders and they hold up well. Their service is also great. I got one for a friend of mine who used (abused) it in his saltwater fishing. They cleaned it up for free.

Thanks for the replies, folks. I've been checking out both knifeart and bladeart sites as well as pat and wes's site pretty regularly recently. I just wanted to get a sense from people who already own their blades.

I'll let you know what I decide!

Cheers,

Steve
